Cockermouth raced to a nine wicket win over Carlisle at Sandair in a match reduced to 30 overs by rain.
The game - between the two teams vying for second spot behind leaders Cleator - was the only Premier league game to go ahead.
The result was revenge for Cockermouth, just three weeks after Carlisle's now departed Jamaican professional, Derval Green played a prominent part in a County Cup win.
This time it was heroics form Cockermouth's home-grown trio of Chris Hodgson, Gareth White and Greg Platten that secured the 10-points.
Hodgson picked up three wickets after the home side asked Carlisle to bat first.
His off-spin accounted for Ben Davidson, who made a patient 41, as well as stand-in professional Ernest Kemm (42) and Carlisle captain, Marc Brown whose miserable season with the bat continued.
A late flurry of boundaries from Henry Walker lifted Carlisle's score to 153, but it wasn't enough to worry the home team's top order.
White was quickly out of the blocks, punishing anything wayward on his way to an unbeaten 90, while Alex Grainger's departure for 18 only brought Platten to the crease to complete a rapid half century.
The win moves Cockermouth ten points clear of Carlisle who are now looking over their shoulders at a congested middle section of the Premier League table.
Carlisle though will hope to bounce back at home to Dalton next week and regain ground on the two teams above them.
