Carlisle made it five wins on the bounce wth a last gasp, seven wicket win over bottom side Haverigg at Edenside in a game reduced to 35-overs by rain.
With just seven balls remaining in the run chase, it was teenage batsman James Dawson who guided the winning single after the visitors had compiled 150.
Haverigg, buoyed by last week's surprise win over Cleator, had Drew Posthlethwaite, who made an excellent 58, and Daniel Lee to thank for a tricky total on a slow pitch and a sluggish outfield after being asked to bat first.
Fraser Conn again gave Carlisle an early breakthrough, but it was Henry Walker who took the bowling honours, his slippery pace picking up three including the big wickets of Posthlewaite and Lee.
Carlisle kept wickets intact, but allowed the run rate to climb as boundaries proved hard to come by.
Tom Benn and Ben Davidson's patient opening stand of 81 from 22 overs proved crucial before Davidson was caught behind. Benn followed soon after for 42.
Skipper Marc Brown kept a cool head to finish unbeaten on 33, and while Alex Raybould perished, James Dawson, returning to the first team, scampered the runs required to get Carlisle home.
Carlisle travel to Cleator today (Sunday 19th), hoping to make it 6 in a row and maintain the pressure at the top of the league.
