Carlisle Academy will play in a new Sunday league this season after EVCL clubs voted to introduce the division at an EGM.
The league will be trialled for one season, starting in May, with the exact number of teams to be confirmed.
There will though be a minimum of eight, with some lower league sides opting to play on Sundays alongside some new teams drawn from existing clubs.
Each game will be a maximum of 36 overs, start at 2pm, unless otherwise agreed by captains, and will feature a minimum of five bowlers.
Senior batters, over the age of 16, will retire at 49 and a scoring shot, but will be allowed to return should the team be bowled out.
Juniors will be allowed to bat on, while there will be no restrictions on who can play.
However, teams will be expected to abide by the ethos of a Sunday league set up, with the emphasis on increased participation, junior development and enjoyment and well matched games.
