Carlisle 2nd XI made it a league and cup double after an easy 9-wicket win over Stainton at Edenside guaranteed the EVCL Premier League crown.
Carlisle now have an unassailable lead over nearest rivals, Kirkby Stephen with two games still to go, meaning Beastie's Boys have fought hard for the right to party (geddit?)
Heavy overnight ran threatened to scupper any chances of play, but the clouds lifted to allow a 32-over match to get underway midday through the afternoon.
It felt like anything but a championship decider though as Stainton ground their way to just one run from the first five overs, veteran Simon Plevin and young seamer Luke Westmorland in particularly parsimonious mood.
Stainton, who've suffered the loss of a number of leading players, struggled to make any real impact, losing wickets on a regular basis to finish on just 76-9 from their 32-overs.
Eddie Mitchell and Charlie Hutchinson were steady and deliberate in response before Charlie perished trying to thump two boundaries to take this team to victory and him to 50.
Still, 44 a fine return for a Bonus Batter in the Beastie Revolution, before Eddie and Jordan Whinn competed the inevitable.
It makes 2018 a season to remember, a league and EVCL Senior Cup double to celebrate.
"It Takes Time to Build - a side," said Beastie afterwards, "but Stainton were Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun and I just said to the guys, Shake Your Rump and then no one can Sabotage our chances."
Intergalactic guys, magnificent effort.
