Jordan Oultram enjoyed an excellent, all-round performance as Carlisle IIs completed a routine win over an under-strength Temple Sowerby at Edenside.
A devastating spell of five wickets for just eight-runs in the middle overs of the visitors' innings was followed by an unbeaten 35 for Oultram as Carlisle chased just 74 to win by eight wickets.
Earlier, the visitors had endured a testing opening spell from teenagers Luke Westmorland and Stanley McAlindon. But it wasn't until the 9th over that Stan made a quick double breakthrough, accounting for openers Nicholson and Swindles.
Although Taryn Reay and Tom Lydiate picked up a wicket apiece, it was Oultram who ran through the heart of Sowerby's batting, including the prize scalp of the dangerous James Farmer who walked after feathering an edge to keeper Andy Trickett.
The innings folded on just 73 all out.
Oultram mixed watchfulness with aggression, and while he lost partners Ed Mitchell and Paul Glascott, Stan McAlindon kept him company until a premature end, even finishing before a one-sided rout at Wembley was over.
Another win keeps Carlisle level-pegging with Caldbeck at the top of the Eden Valley Premier, with a host of unused batsmen itching for a go next week.
