Carlisle CC is delighted to announce the signing of former first team captain, Tom Benn who has returned to Cumbria after several years playing in Essex.
Tom - a wicketkeeper batsman who has played for Cumberland - has opted to return to Carlisle despite interest from other clubs in the North Lancashire League.
Current captain, Marc Brown says Tom's signature will be a big boost for a young side looking to narrow the gap to the top two sides from last season, Furness and Workington.
He said: "Tom is a fantastic addition who will give us vital experience with both bat and gloves.
"He's already been actively involved with our younger players at pre-season training and it will be great to have him in the dressing room."
Carlisle begin the season on April 21st with a trip to last season's champions, Workington.
