​The temperatures might still be sub-zero outside, but the first sign of the summer to come has arrived with the publication of this years's Cumbria Cricket League fixtures.

The league has dropped the North Lancs from its title to reflect the teams that play in it.

This year Carlisle 1st XI begin their campaign on Saturday April 20th with a trip to last year's champions, Cockermouth.

Premier league cricket returns to Edenside the following week with the visit of Keswick. The season ends with the return fixture with Keswick on Saturday September 14th.

Skipper, Marc Brown and his side will be striving to secure some much overdue silverware, with the signing of Michael Slack as the club's professional a statement of intent.
